Coteaux du Languedoc
The Languedoc region has the oldest vineyards in France (it lies between the Massif Central and the Mediterranean where the Romans first introduced the wines in France) and possesses a great soil diversity that allows for the production of red wines with very distinguished personalities. With a production made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre (50% minimum), these wines are velvety and elegant with notes of black currant, raspberry, spice and pepper.
The whites are composed from classic varietals such as Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, and Marsanne, and develop fruity and floral aromas that can sometimes taste of anise or mint.
Dominant varietals:
Reds: Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah
Whites: Marsanne and Roussanne
