Winery list for Rivesaltes

The Rivesaltes appellation is classified into 4 groups: Grenat, Tuilé, Ambré and Hors d’âge for red wines made from Grenache Noir, Gris and Blanc as well as Macabeu and Malvoisie varietals.

  • The Rivesaltes Grenats are wines made from Grenache Noir with fresh notes of red and black berries.
  • The red-colored Rivesaltes Tuilés have aromas of candied fruit and are aged in open air for two years.
  • The Rivesaltes Ambrés employ the same process, but with white varietals such as Rolle or Vermentino. This wine has a golden color with a nose of honey, hazelnut, almond and nutshell.
  • The “Hors d’âges” are Rivesaltes Ambrés and Tuilés that are aged for more than 5 years. Their aromas evolve toward notes of orange peel and ginger.

Dominant varietals:
Reds: Grenache and Macabeu
Whites: Rolle or Vermentino
